The North Central Women’s League (NCWL) Scholarships are given to selected outstanding Sunnyslope and Central High School seniors who are continuing their education post-graduation at either a university, accredited two-year community/junior college, trade school or technical college. Recipients are selected based on their well-rounded background of academic success, extra-curricular activities and leadership, community service, financial need as well as their personal story as provided in a 500-750 word essay. Scholarships range from $1,000 - $3,000. The number and amount of scholarships provided depends on successful fundraising efforts of North Central Women’s League in a given year. Scholarships are paid directly to the program the recipient selects.

For the past several years, CopperPoint Insurance Companies has served as a corporate sponsor generously providing funding for a $5,000 scholarship.  The recipient of this scholarship is selected from the pool of candidates that apply for the NCWL Scholarship.Applications are available online and the deadline for submission is 3:00 PM on the last Friday in February each year for scholarships that are awarded at the April/May school award ceremonies.
